Zzazan (짜잔 in Korean) is a family photo app that recognizes your child's face on your device and gathers their photos out of a scattered camera roll. On the home screen the app is labeled ‘ZzaZan’.
Register your child by picking a face in a single photo, and photos of the same face come together by date. For similar shots taken in a row, it weighs face quality, sharpness, and smiles to pick the best one as the key photo.
The photos you pick go straight to shared family group albums — grandparents on each side, daycare — and any moment can be found again by people, occasion, milestone, or place tags.
We are preparing the App Store and Google Play releases. Once the listings are live, the download buttons on this site turn into store links.
Yes. You can start right away without signing in. Your photos, face analysis results, and child information then stay on your device only and are never uploaded to a server.
Cloud storage, family sharing, and syncing across devices become available once you link a social account. Linking keeps the account you have been using.
Data that lives only on your device disappears when you delete the app and cannot be restored from the server. The details are in Article 1 of the Privacy Policy.
The app is free to download and stays usable on the free plan alone. Storage is 10GB free by product design.
There is nothing to purchase inside the app right now. A paid subscription is in preparation; if we start offering one, this page and the privacy policy will say so first.
No. Auto-upload is off by default.
While you use the app without signing in, your photos never leave the device. Linking a social account makes original backup available by default, but nothing is stored on the server until a backup actually runs.
The details are in Article 1 of the Privacy Policy.
Backed-up originals are stored in the Republic of Korea (Seoul). To deliver photos quickly we use a global content delivery network, so data may be temporarily cached at points of presence outside Korea for up to 24 hours.
Even cached files can only be opened through a temporary address valid for 60 seconds. Article 6 of the Privacy Policy describes this in full.
Yes. Deleted originals and pre-replacement versions stay recoverable for 30 days. After 30 days the actual file in storage is permanently deleted.
Settings → Data management → Clean up shows the photos you can clean up.
Blurry, duplicate, and near-identical shots are grouped so you can compare them. You choose what to delete — the app never deletes on its own.
No. Face detection coordinates, face feature values, face crops, and unconfirmed face groups exist only on your device and are never transmitted to a server.
We do not track real-time location. Your movement history and current position are never collected.
If you allow the device location permission, the photo map uses your current position only to choose where the map opens. It is never stored, attached to photos, or sent to a server, and the map still opens if you decline.
Capture coordinates already embedded in a photo are kept with the original once the original is backed up. Region labels (for example “Aewol, Jeju”) are computed inside our own servers — no external service is used to resolve place names.
You can turn it off at any time in the app settings, and transmission stops immediately.
The collected items and their retention periods are listed in Article 6 of the Privacy Policy. Photos and videos, your child's name and date of birth, precise location, raw search terms, and advertising identifiers are not collected.
Once you sign in with a social account, server sync of child information such as your child's name, birthday, and tags is on by default. There is no separate consent screen, and you can turn it off at any time under Settings → Data management → Privacy & consent.
Turning it off deletes child information held on the server immediately, with no grace period. Data on your device and originals already backed up remain untouched. While it is off, server search, automatic organization by capture region, and sharing a child's profile with a family group do not work.
You can delete it in the app under Settings → the profile card at the top (Account) → Delete account. There is a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel. While it lasts, only your own download and cleanup are allowed and family access is blocked immediately.
When the grace period ends, the account and its data are permanently deleted.
While you use the app without signing in (as a guest), the server holds only anonymous account data, and that data is cleaned up if it goes unused — the 30-day grace period does not apply. Data on your device is removed when you delete the app.
You sign out on each device from the app on that device — Settings → the profile card at the top (Account) → Log Out. The app has no option to end sign-ins on other devices all at once.
If you have lost a device or no longer have it and need its access cut off, let us know through Contact and we will act without delay once confirmed.
First update the app to the latest version and restart your device.
If it keeps happening, tell us the device model, OS version, app version, and when it happened. Anything that helps us reproduce it makes the fix much faster.
